Workshop to be held April 17th, 2021 at 1pm(EST) via Zoom.

In this workshop, we are going to investigate the various ways to use pop culture as a lens to write about ourselves, and also vice versa. Using movies/TV shows/song/video games/etc. — our favorites, our "first"s, those we return to and don't know — as doorways into the personal. We will read, take apart, and discuss various examples to understand how they work and then use those as various prompts to begin writing ourselves.

Aaron Burch is the author of the memoir/literary analysis Stephen King’s The Body; the short story collection, Backswing; and novel, forthcoming later this year (!!), Year of the Buffalo. He is the Founding Editor of Hobart and HAD.

After purchase you will receive an email at least 24 hours before the event with all Zoom meeting information.
